“I wouldn’t know, but I’mma take your word for it,” he said, placing his hands on the small of my back and walking me to our table.

The music in the lounge wasn’t as fast paced as the music in the club. It was more mellow, soft jazz like songs that made you want to get up and dance. Everything about Yolo was so relaxing. The vibe was great, as everybody seemed to be having a great time.

  “How old are you, Mia?”

  “Eighteen.”

“Damn, that’s it?” He asked, with a shocked expression written across his face.

  “Yup. You?”

  “I’m thirty.”

“Wow! You don’t even look it.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.”

  “You should.”

“So tell me, Miss Mia, why are you single?” He asked.

“I haven’t found the right one.” I lied.

“What are you looking for in a man?”

“Strength, determination, security, patience, and the ability to uplift me.” I replied, thinking of how Romeo met all of my criteria.

“All of the qualities that I possess.” He cockily replied.

“Is that so?” I asked, with a raised brow.

“I’m willing to bet on it.” He winked at me. “Let’s dance.”

I didn’t peg Murder as being the dancing type nigga, but he could move around a bit. I thought a date with Murder was going to be him taking me out to eat and tryna get in my pants, but it wasn’t. We ate great food, made nice conversation, and danced the night away. I hated to admit it, but I really enjoyed my date with him.

“I had a great time.” Murder said, walking me to my car.

  “I did, too.”

“So that mean a nigga can get a second date?”

  “We can work something out.”

“I’m really feeling ya vibe, Mia. You got a nigga in a trance.” He replied, making me blush. “You are beautiful for real.”

  “Thank you.”

What he did next was something I didn’t expect. Murder pinned me against my car and pressed his lips against mine. At first, I kept my mouth shut tight, trying to prevent him from deepening the kiss, but his determination wouldn’t allow him to give up. Feeling his lips tugging on mine, and his hands rubbing my ass, had me feeling all heated and shit to the point where I just gave up and accepted his tongue.

We stood body to body on the car my man bought me, kissing as if we were lovers. My mind was screaming this was wrong, but the aching in my pussy told me to fuck his ass right here on the spot. The things Murder was doing to me with his tongue had me acting out of character. I didn’t even stop him when he slipped two fingers in my jeans and into my pussy.

“Mmmmm.” I moaned against his lips, feeling his hands rub fast across my clit.

“Damn, this pussy wet as fuck.” He groaned.

He used his fingers like a miniature dick and brought me to multiple orgasms in the middle of the parking lot. When he finally stepped away from me, I started feeling like shit. It didn’t help that his sexy ass brought the fingers he was playing in my pussy with up to his mouth, licking my wetness off. I was a nasty freak that was excited by all that type of shit.

“Damn.” I sighed, once I was able to regain my composure.

I was feeling so guilty that I couldn’t even look Murder in the eyes.

“I’m sorry if I took things too far.” He apologized.

“It’s not your fault, I should have stopped you.”

“If it was possible.” His cocky ass chuckled.

“I gotta get going.” I mumbled.

“Cool, I’mma get at you later.” He said, pecking my lips.

He stood in the parking lot and watched me until I was out of sight. I couldn’t go home with a wet pussy so I drove to a nearby Walmart and bought some wipes and panties. After cleaning myself off in the bathroom, I redressed and tried to calm myself down on my drive back home. When Romeo’s car wasn’t in the garage I breathed out a sigh of relief.

Running to his stash, I rolled me two blunts, poured me a glass of wine, and ran me a hot bath. As I sat in the tub hot boxing the bathroom, my mind traveled to Murder and my pussy started jumping again. I had to snap at her hot ass for responding to a man that wasn’t ours.

The beeping of my phone caused me to jump out of my skin and thoughts. Drying my hands off with the towel, I held the blunt between my lips and reached for my phone. There were notifications for two different text messages; one from Murder and one from Romeo. For some reason, I tapped on the one from Murder and read it first.

M: A nigga had a great time with your fine ass. You even had me acting all proper and shit. You are a pretty, smart girl with a great head on your shoulders and some wet wet. Lol. I hope you serious about this second date because a nigga really tryna get to know ya. Holla at me on that tho, Night ma.

As I read Murder’s text message over and over again, I was impressed by how open I had him. He was about to be eating out of the palm of my hands and he didn’t even know it. Just as I told Romeo, this was going to be one easy job, two months max. Granted I didn’t start acting on these unsure feelings that were now causing butterflies in the pit of my stomach. Deleting his messages, I responded to Romeo’s text and prayed that everything would go as planned.

  Romeo

“Ooooh this bitch clean.” Hot Rod said, running his fingers across the paint of my Hummer.

“You gon admire this bitch or you gon jump ya ass in.” I asked, tapping my fingers on the steering wheel.

“Damn, it feels good to finally be out this bitch!” He exclaimed, dapping me up. “Shit, I don’t even want to imagine how it feel being caged up like an animal. I’d lose my fucking mind.” I said.

“Bruh, you don’t even know. I’m ready to go home and dig in some pussy. You ain’t tell Shanie I was coming home did ya?”

  “Nah. I told you I wasn’t.”

“Ok, just checking, I’m tryna grab me some shit at the mall before I head over there.”

“I already know nigga cuz you looking real rough.” I laughed.

“Bruh, I know you got some weed in this bitch.”

“Yeah, in the glove compartment and roll that shit.”

As we made our way to the mall, we smoked and made small talk. Hot Rod, who I learned name was really Rodney, was cool as fuck. We chopped it up and a brotherhood was formed in a matter of seconds. I was good with going off of people’s vibe and his vibe was on point. The only difference between us was that nigga was a straight clown. He was one of those motherfuckers you didn’t know when to take serious because he was always on some play type shit. I couldn’t front though. It felt good to finally have a lil homey; it sucked being solo all the time.

When we got to the mall, Hot Rod went in. He barely touched the money I placed on his books, so he was able to collect that hefty check and cash out. Store after store we bust the mall wide open, along with buying new shit for ourselves. We both grabbed our girls a few things for themselves.

“Ayo, let’s walk in this Kay’s real quick.” I said, pointing to the jewelry store. I wanted to cop a promise ring for Mia and make her the promise to replace it with a custom-made engagement ring once this shit was over with.

“Sweet ass nigga.” He laughed as we made our way through the doors.

“Hello gentlemen, is there any thing in particular I can help you with?” The sexy milk chocolate sales lady asked.

“Yeah, your number.” Hot Rod joked.

  “Besides that.” She blushed.

“I’m here to cop my wifey a nice ring.” I said.

“Nice. What’s the occasion?” She asked.

“A just because gift.” I replied.

“How cute.” She cooed, walking over to the showcase that displayed the rings.

During my trip back to my hometown, I ran into one of my homeboys that had a sweet lick he wanted us to hit. When we hit the lick, I was ab
le to walk away twenty thousand dollars richer since I declined my share of the drugs. I gave Mia half of the money to put away and with the other half I had planned on getting my baby something real nice.

“Let me see this one.” I said, pointing to the sterling siIver princess cut diamond ring that was in the form of a heart.

“This is our very popular ring.” She said, removing the ring and handing it to me.

“I’ll take it.” I said, not even paying attention to the price tag. That ring had Mia written all over it.

“Perfect. Would you like it wrapped up?”

  “Yes.”

“Great. That’ll be three thousand five hundred and twenty seven dollars.” She said.

I pulled out a wad of cash out of my pockets, counted the bills, and handed them to her. Once she gave me the ring, I was ready to go, but of course, Hot Rod had to get the girl’s number. As they stood there flirting, I could only shake my head. He was fresh outta jail and on a pussy prowl. Shanie was a good girl and it would be fucked up if he lost her behind some temporary pussy.

“You a fool.” I replied, as he finally caught up with me.

“I’m just seeing if I still got it.” He smiled.

  “I hear ya.” I replied.

“Damn that bitch is bad as fuck.” He said, with his eyes glued to some chick with a fat ass.

I looked up and a smile graced my face. Mia was standing in front of some random girl engaged in a conversation. She was looking sexy as hell in a floral one-piece short romper set. Just as I was about to walk up to her, Murder came out the store and wrapped his arms around her.

“I should have known that chick belonged to that nigga Murder.” Hot Rod said, in a disappointed tone.

“You straight, bruh?” Hot Rod asked me, as I burnt a hole through Murder with my eyes.

I couldn’t respond; I was too busy thinking of ways to body this nigga without going to jail or losing my life in the process. I know I agreed to this shit, but seeing her out in public with that nigga as if they were a couple, had me fucked up in the head. When they started walking towards us, I grabbed my hip just to make sure my gun was securely tucked there. I was seconds from pulling that bitch out and causing a bloody scene, until I was met with a pair of Mia’s pleading eyes. Not giving a fuck about this plan or the money, I grabbed Mia out of Murder’s grasp and was ready for whatever.

“What the fuck nigga,” Murder asked, looking at me as if I was crazy.

I could feel Mia breathing hard as she whispered for me to calm down. I wasn’t trying to hear that shit; I was mad as fuck. Pulling out my gun, I held it to my side with nothing but murder on my mind.

“This nigga pulling a gun out on me? What’s really good?” Murder asked, with anger flashing in his eyes.

“This-this is my big brother. Excuse me, he’s very protective over me,” Mia Stuttered. “Let me have a word with him.”

Mia pushed me a few feet away and grabbed the gun out of my hand and quickly placed it in her purse.

“Baby, you gotta calm down if this gon’ work.” She whispered.

“I don’t like seeing you with that nigga; man, that shit don’t feel right.” I replied, looking down at her.

“Listen to me bae, this will be over soon, you gotta trust me.”

“Man, Mia, just move and let me get the fuck from around here.” I said, walking away from her.

When I returned back to where Murder and Hot Rod was standing, they were now engaged in a conversation.

“What’s up, my nigga, when did you get out?” Murder asked Hot Rod.

“I just got out,” Hot Rod replied.

“That’s what’s up, check me out. Thanks for keeping it G with a nigga and not snitching.” Murder said.

“That snitch shit don’t run through my blood.” Hot Rod replied.

“If you need some more work, you know how to get in touch with a nigga.”

“I hear ya.” Hot Rod replied, not really interested in what Murder was saying.

“Listen bruh, nice to meet you and all bruh in law, but if you pull out a gun on me again, there is going to be some big problems.” Murder said to me.

“Fuck with Mia in a wrong way and there’s going to be real big problems homeboy.” I snapped.

“She good baby boy, trust me.” He smirked.

“Yeah ok, Mia, make sure you bring your ass home at a decent hour.” I said, before walking away with Hot Rod hot on my trail.

“Let me guess that’s your chick.” He said, once we got to my car.

  “Yeah, that’s her.” I replied.

  “No disrespect; she’s a baddie.”

  “Yeah, I know.”

“I know this shit eating you up, but the good thing about all this is, I found another way we can eat until we bust that lick.” He said.

“Well since he already thinks you Mia’s big brother and he offered me some work, I was thinking I could take him up on his offer and we could eat off his pussy ass while we plot on his ass. That way we can get more inside view on the proper way to get at him when your girl come through with the information we need.” He said.

“That shit makes sense, but I ain’t tryna fuck with that nigga like that.” I replied.

“Trust me nigga, this shit gon’ be worth it all in the end. When we get what we need, I’ll even let you have the honors of ending that nigga’s life. For now, we gotta go with the flow.”

  “I don’t know, man.”

“Sometimes we gotta put our pride to the side and do shit we don’t want to do, shit that’s life. If ya girl gave you her word, trust her, and if you can’t trust her then you don’t need to be with her ass anyways. Hell when I got locked up, the only reason I decided to keep Shanie around while I did my bid was because I knew I could trust her, and I’m willing to bet my last dollar her pussy gon’ be tight as fuck when I slide up in that bitch.” He said, giving me something to think about.

“You right cuz, set that shit up then, but when this is all done I’m killing this nigga in the most gruesome way.” I spat.

“I ain’t even mad at ya kid.”

For the rest of the day, Hot Rod and I kicked it real heavy. We were in the house having a mad smoke session when Mia decided to bring her ass home. I couldn’t even be mad at her ass since the OG kush we was blazing on had my ass slumped.

“Damn, bae, you almost fucked shit up.” She said, taking a seat in my lap.

“Hey, what’s up, Hot Rod? I know you don’t really know me like that, but I’m Shanie’s best friend, Mia. Every time I go to her house, I’m stuck with seeing your pictures plastered everywhere.” Mia giggled, before grabbing the joint that was in rotation.

“For real? I’m about to go slide up on her ass in a bit. Ro you don’t mind if I take a shower and shit?” He asked.

“Nah, fam, you good. Go do ya thing.”

“Baby, why you tripping?” Mia asked, once Hot Rod was gone.

“How would you feel if you saw me in the mall with another bitch?” I asked.

I would have murdered the both of you, but then again, you know why I’m with Murder. It’s not like I’m sneaking around behind your back.” She stressed.

I understand that, but that ain’t gone stop me from flipping the fuck out when I see you with that nigga.” I snapped.

“I get that bae, but damn chill out before you fuck shit up. But check me out, they beefing with some niggas.” She said.

  “How you know?”

“We was supposed to go out to eat, but then he got a phone call from his right hand, TK, saying a few of their traps were hit.”

“He was talking business in front of you?” I asked.

“Yeah, he kept his words short, but TK was so loud that I heard everything he was saying.”

“Do they know who hit them?”

“TK said he thinks it was those niggas from the West since they’ve been beefing real hard.” She said, causing a smile to
appear on my face.

“Why you smiling all of a sudden?” She asked.

“Because I got you something.” I lied.

The real reason behind a nigga being all happy and shit was because I found out a way that Hot Rod and I could hit up Murder’s trap without looking suspect. If we continued to make it look like them niggas from the West was behind that shit, then he would never suspect us. I still wanted it all, his money, connect, operation, and most importantly, him to lose his life, but this would have to do until I could reach the ultimate goal.

“I’m waiting.” Mia said, holding her hand out.

“Iight, close your eyes.” I said.

Once her eyes were closed, I pulled out the box from my pocket and slid the ring on her finger. Feeling the cool metal on her right ring finger caused her to open her eyes. The diamonds sparkled as she lifted her hand high to examine the ring.

“This ring is a promise that when we bust this lick and I become the new boss of these streets, that the next ring I give you will go here.” I said, pointing to her ring finger on her left hand.

“Awww baby, thank you. I love it.” She squealed.

“And a nigga love the fuck out of your little ass.”

  “I love you more.”

  “Prove it.”

She turned around so that her body was straddling mine then stuffed her tongue down my throat. With my hands rubbing against her fat ass, I deepened our kiss, causing her to moan out in pleasure. Our tongues collided while we kissed to the rhythm of our moans.

“Damn, a nigga is still here.” Hot Rod said, walking in the room dressed in a red and white Adidas sweat suit with the matching shell-toed shoes to match. The fresh haircut he got earlier had him looking like a human.

“Don’t get mad cuz you ain’t getting no pussy.” I shot at him.

“Trust me, I’m about to go get me some right now, let me hold the keys to that Impala.” He said, referring to my first car I copped from Lucy.

“It’s on the key ring by the kitchen.” I said.

“Iight, I’m outta here. We should chop it up on a double date type shit when I climb up out that pussy.” He said.

“You a fool, but yeah we gon’ handle that.”

  “Iight, peace.”

“Where were we?” Mia said, once we heard the door slam closed.
