Just as he was leaving, Chasity walked up to him and gave him a kiss. Smirking at me, she winked her eye and they walked away hand in hand. Pulling out my phone, I attempted to call Trisha. When she didn’t answer the phone, I searched all of the bathrooms in the mall and still couldn’t find her nor my kids.
I sent Debo a texted asking him to round up the fellas and meet me at the spot. There was no way in hell I was going to let this nigga play with my kids’ lives. I was going to do everything he wanted me to in order to get my girls back, but I had my own agenda as well. These niggas are really going to feel me.
CHAPTER 24
KANDI
I impatiently waited by the door for Ralph to bring my son home. We had plans; and leave it to his selfish ass to ruin them. When I allowed Ralph to take Raphael home with him, I wouldn’t see him for weeks. I was missing my baby something terrible and all I wanted to do was spend the day with him.
When Ralph’s car pulled up in the driveway, I grabbed the baby bag, my purse, and car keys and was on my way out the door.
“It took you long enough,” I said walking to Ralph’s car door.
“Sorry boo, the dick was just too good this morning,” Lisa said getting out of the car.
“Where is Ralph?” I asked getting hot.
“He had to handle some business and asked me if I could bring my stepson home.” Hearing her say that had me wanting to punch her in the face, but I wasn’t about to stoop to that level. Plus, her scary ass carried a gun and I wasn’t trying to get shot today.
“Hand me my fucking son,” I snapped.
“Gladly boo,” she smirked, grabbing his car seat.
“See you later boobie.” She cooed Raphael before handing me the car seat with her left hand, showing off her ring.
I wanted so badly to snatch the car seat from her, but I didn’t want to risk my baby falling.
“Yes bae, I just dropped him off,” Lisa answered her phone, disgusting me.
I couldn’t stand to be around that bitch any longer so I grabbed the baby car seat and buckled him in the back of my car. Lisa was the first one to pull out of the driveway. She blew me a kiss and sped off down the street. Ooooooh, I couldn’t stand that bitch, and one day I was going to make her pay for taking Ralph from me.
It was a beautiful day outside, so I decided to take my baby to the park. He was chilling in his stroller, drinking from his bottle while I read books on my Kindle. Something told me to look up, and when I did, I spotted a family sitting under the tree having a picnic. I was admiring them until one of the little girls looked just like Skylar. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but when I heard a guy call her name, everything was confirmed.
I sat back and watched the couple interact with the kids in envy. This is what I wanted; I wanted a family, but instead I had to settle for being a single mother, with a baby daddy that couldn’t stand me. My eyes never left them as I watched them play, joke around and eat. Their daughter was starting to make my stomach turn, but I had to investigate this situation. If Skylar was here with this family, where was Prancer?
The sun started to set and I watched as the family began to clean up. I grabbed the baby, went to my car and waited for them to leave. They were almost down the street when I proceeding on following them. Before going to the police, I needed concrete evidence. Taking a picture of their license plate, I followed them to a house that wasn’t too far from where Prancer lived.
Parking my car on the opposite side of the road, I watched them grab the kids out of the car and go inside of the house. I wrote down their address and picked up the phone to call the police. I was figuring that Prancer was somewhere dead, while someone stole her baby and was raising her as theirs.
Before I could dial 9-1-1, an incoming call from a random number came through.
“Hello?” I answered.
“Kandi come get me.”
“Who is this?”
“Prancer.”
CHAPTER 25
LISA
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. The sun was shining; Riley was playing on the slip and slide, while RJ and Ralph played a one-on-one game of football. I was in the kitchen looking out the window while I prepared lunch. Everything was going great, except for the nausea I’d been having for the last two weeks. The stomach bug attacked everyone in the house, so I just self-diagnosed myself as being the last one to catch it.
While the burgers cooked on the indoor grill, I made myself some chicken noodle soup to soothe my stomach. I was on my third bite when I was hit with the urge to throw up. Running to the hallway bathroom, I threw up everything before taking a seat on the bathroom floor. Once I regained my composure, I rinsed out my mouth and went back in the kitchen as if nothing happened.
This girl that I came here with, dat my main
The one that’s sharing these drinks, dat my main
The one celebrating her birthday, dat my main
Yeah that’s my number 1 chick, dat my main
The one that always had my back, dat my main
When me and my bae broke up, dat my main
She beat a chick up on sight, dat my main
And don’t let her get turnt up, dat my main
Just as I was about to pour myself a cup of ginger ale, “My Main” by Mila J boomed through my phone, letting me know my best bitch, Lala was calling me. I was so glad that Stacks decided to move back to Miami, because I was missing her like crazy. Yeah, Honey and Cinnamon were cool, but it was nothing like having your own best friend. Plus, they already had this close sister bond that sometimes had me feeling left out.
“Did you take that pregnancy test yet bitch?” Lala laughed in my ear.
“I told you it’s a stomach bug,” I replied waving her off.
“Yeah, that’s what they all say.”
“Shut up, are you ready for you fitting for your dress?” I said trying to change the subject.
“This is like my third fitting and every time I have to go a dress size up. I am so sick and tired of being pregnant,” she vented.
“Watch your damn mouth,” I heard Stacks yell out, causing me to laugh.
“Girl, that man tryna have you on nineteen kids and counting,” I joked.
“Yeah right, I’mma fuck around and get my tubes tied,” she whispered into the phone.
“I bet you won’t say that out loud,” I challenged.
“Hell nah, you tryna get me fucked up?”
“Girl, Stacks’ crazy ass probably got cameras all in your uterus.”
“Shit, he probably do. That nigga knows when I pregnant before the pregnancy test does.”
“Girl, guess who’s doing your father-in-law?” I said preparing Lala for the tea.
“Girl who?”
“Terri.
“Eww, you lying.”
“Girl no, I saw some pictures he sent to her email and girl, that nigga is blessed.”
“Duh, Stacks get it from his daddy,” she laughed causing me to gag.
“Are you ready to get married Ms. Lady?” Lala asked me.
“Yes, I am so ready. I mean, I know my position in his life but I ain’t trying to be his fiancé forever. Plus, I’m anxious to see how Cinnamon pull this all together.
“Cinnamon is good. She helped Stacks find this house so I know she gon’ hook you up. Hold on real quick,” Lala said putting the phone down.
While I waited for her to come back to the phone I gulped down my second glass of ginger ale and laid out all the condiments for the burgers.
“Lisa I’mma call you back,” Lala said before hitting me with the dial tone.
Just as I was about to go outside and tell everyone dinner was ready, an all-black Cadillac came zooming down the street, tires screeching. It came to a stop in front of my yard and when the windows slowly rolled down and five guns poked out, I let out a loud, piercing scream, alerting Ralph. Before he could turn around, bullets were spra
ying my lawn as if it were a sprinkler.
A bullet flew through the kitchen window causing me to duck for cover. I crawled my way to my purse and retrieved my gun. I knew it wasn’t enough ammunition for the gunplay that was on my front lawn, but I had to do something. Clocking my .9 back, I crawled to the front door where I found Ralph’s handgun sitting on the mantel. With both guns in my hand, I was feeling like GI Jane. I let the guns voice my anger, as I aimed directly for the car and emptied both clips. I heard a soft moan letting me know I hit one of the gunmen. Before I could add more bullets to the gun, I heard the screeching tires again as the car sped down the street.
I made sure the coast was clear before I walked outside. There was a thick cloud of smoke that resembled fog. The stench of gunpowder invaded my nose as I did my best to locate everyone. Once the smoked cleared, my heart dropped. Everyone was laid out on the lawn, each in their own pool of blood.
“SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!” I yelled out as a gush of liquid streamed down my leg.
CHAPTER 26
ROB
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit!!” I cried out as Debo’s baby mama tried her best to remove the bullets from my shoulder.
My lil’ niggas had put in some major work in Miami, eliminating that nigga Ralph. There was no way for me to get at Stacks, because that nigga was in Colombia, but DC didn’t have to know that. It wasn’t like he was going to fly up to Colombia and check to see if Stacks was alive or not. Since his real beef was with Ralph, I figured with him dead it would be enough to get my girls back.
“Stay the fuck still,” she yelled trying her best to get the bullet with the scissors.
I was in so much pain that I wanted to slap the fuck out of this bitch. When she finally removed the bullets, she cleaned my wound and wrapped it up. When she was done, I sat back with my head leaned against the pillow feeling like shit.
Walked in $30,000 in my pocket had them niggas just like ooohh
$15,000 on your bitch wanna fuck me, got her screamin’ like ooohh
Cause I got a check, nigga wanna flex
Ain’t gotta flex but I got it, ooohhhh
Give that ho some x, she gone wanna sex every nigga in the set
And now she screamin’ like ooohhhh
Rich Homie Quan’s lyrics were booming through the iPod speakers, as I sat and reflected on everything that happened these past months. I couldn’t blame anyone else but myself for my actions. If I would have thought before reacting, then I wouldn’t have been in this situation. I should’ve fucked Honey’s ass up instead of gunning for Cole. In the whole process, I lost my son and possibly my daughters. If I could go back in time, I would have knuckled up with Cole instead of shooting him, then maybe I wouldn’t have been in this fucked up situation.
“What’s heavy on your mind?” Debo asked handing me a blunt.
“Life man,” I inhaled the smoke and held it in.
“We gon’ get your lil’ ones back, believe that.”
“I hope so. I would lose my mind if I lost my daughters behind this shit.”
“Bruh, stop thinking negative,” he said passing me the blunt again.
We were in a heavy rotation, passing around blunts and bottles, when my phone rang.
“Hello?”
“What’s the status?” DC asked.
“It’s done.”
“Once I confirm it, I’ll have everything ready for you to pick up.
I just prayed like hell he didn’t find out that Stacks was alive. With any luck, Ralph being dead would be enough for him to let my girls go. Just as I was about to leave Debo’s house and head home, I bumped into a woman that was badly burned all over. Her face was so scarred that looking at her gave me the chills.
“My bad,” I said trying my hardest not to look into the horribly scarred woman’s face.
“I need your help big brother,” she spoke up causing me to turn around.
“What did you just say?” I asked her.
She didn’t respond. She just handed me a piece of paper that looked like her birth certificate. My eyes became wide as saucers as I saw my father’s name listed on the father’s section of her birth certificate. How the hell could this be? Was she really my sister??
“Prancer?”

Chapter 1
Banks
The day my mother found me in the hallway closet with my dick in my neighbor’s pussy is when she started saying I was going to be a dog just like my no good father. No matter how trifling and no good my mother would call my father, she would never leave his side. That confused me most as a child. Anyways, I was only ten and the girl my mother caught me fucking in the closet, Zanay, was fifteen. My father didn’t say much; he just simply closed the door and allowed me to finish my business, then told my mother to stay in a woman’s place.
According to my father, a woman’s job was to cook, clean, have babies, and fulfill their man’s sexual needs. He always told me, as a man I had to make sure home was taken care of, but I was free to be a man. He taught me at a young age, that real men had multiple women and the only woman that you took care of was the one you slipped up and impregnated.
The days my father would take me to hang out, we would sit in the bar and drink while he hit on different women. A few times he would leave me at the bar while he went and fucked them. I even had the pleasure of getting my dick sucked by a few of them, while my father fucked them from the back. At the age of ten, instead of learning how to shoot hoops or throw a football, I was learning how to put on condoms, fuck bitches, steal cars and flip bricks.
By the age fifteen, I had become a mini version of my father, Bunny. Bunny was a force to reckoned with. He looked like a male model, but don’t let his looks fool you. He was one of the deadliest niggas that walked the state of Florida. Not only did he run the biggest drug cartel in the city of Miami, he also ran a large, illegal car ring that brought in millions of dollars quarterly. He had niggas that would go out and steal luxurious, foreign cars. He would then have those cars stripped and resold to different distributors.
Another thing that fucked me up as a child, is when my mother finally decided enough was enough and left my father. Til this day, that memory was still fresh in my head.
I was in my room breaking down coke and bagging it, when I heard screaming. Walking out of my room, I spotted my mother arguing with a beautiful woman. She wasn’t as beautiful as my mother, who at the age of thirty-eight, stood at five feet and135 lbs. My mother reminded me of Jada Pinkett-Smith, only she had a little bit more meat on her bones.
“I don’t know who the fuck your husband is!” my mother yelled at the woman who was accusing her of sleeping with her husband.
“Yes you do! I followed him here. I’ve been watching y’all for the past three months. When he’s not here, Travis is home with me and our kids!!!” she yelled.
“Travis? Who the fuck is Travis?!” my mother yelled.
Obviously, this woman had the wrong person, because my father’s name was Bunny Johnson. I never understood why my grandmother would name him that, but of respect for my father, I never asked.
“This is Travis,” the woman said fishing a picture out of her wallet and showing it to my mother.
My mother’s eyes were as wide as saucers, as she stared at the picture with tears in her eyes. I walked over to her and snatched the picture from my mother, and there my father was. He was standing next to this woman and their three kids, smiling like he’d just hit the jackpot. Knowing my father, it didn’t surprise me, so I just went back to my business of bagging up the drugs. It wasn’t like my mother was going to leave him anyways, I shrugged.
That night when I came home from serving my last fiend, my father and mother was in their room arguing. A few minutes later I heard the door slam, and my father stormed down the stairs.
“Did you sell it all?” he asked me.

Yes sir!” I replied.
“How many cars did you get?”
“I was able to bring in five Maseratis.”
“Good boy. You keep working hard like this and there will be a promotion for you in the near future.” He smiled handing me another package of drugs, along with a yellow envelope filled with money. “Listen, I’m about to go handle something real quick, I‘ll catch up with you later. Leave your window open, Sharise is about to climb through,” he winked, handing me a box of Magnums.
At the age of fifteen, my body was solid and built like a grown man. I possessed a horse dick that hung down to my knees like a third leg. I had the ability to have hoes old enough to be my mama, calling me daddy. A smile crept across my face as I thought of Sharise. I was really starting to like her, but I wouldn’t dare tell my father that.
When my father left, I was on my way to my room when I peeked into my parent’s room. I spotted my mother sitting at her vanity, staring at herself in the mirror. It reminded me of the the scene in What Love Got To Do With It when Angela Bassett was just sitting there at her vanity, looking crazy.”
“Ma, are you ok?” I asked.
“I gave him the best years of my life,” was all she kept repeating, as she slid the ring off of her finger.
She then got up all zombie like and started packing her things. I leaned my tall frame in the doorway and watched her. She started frantically grabbing all of her things and stuffing them in her luggage, with that same spaced out look on her face. For a second I thought she was going to fuck around and kill herself.
“Stay your trifling ass here with your trifling father,” was all she said as she grabbed her things and walked out of the door and my life.
When my father came home, he told me to pack my things because I was coming to stay with him and his other family. My father noticed the sad look I wore on my face, and that is when he told me something that turned my heart cold against love.
He looked me in the eyes and said, “Show no love. Love is a sign of weakness. Love has the ability to uplift you and bring you down. Never fall in love with a woman. This pain that you are feeling now is how it will feel if you ever allow a woman to get close to your heart.”
